25 February 2022 – At the recent Malaysia Public Relations Awards, the flagship industry event that recognises the best and brightest campaigns in strategic communications and public relations, Perspective Strategies took home one Gold Award, four Silver and one Bronze Award across multiple categories for its work in 2021.

The Gold Award was given for the category of “Consumer Launch”, recognising the unique tactics that were used in integrated storytelling for Resipi Berani MAGGI®. The campaign launched a first-of-its-kind reality TV series highlighting the transformation of ordinary women into entrepreneurs, many of whom were recognised for their culinary skills by renowned chefs. The series was designed in hopes to inspire others to try something new and bring about positive change for themselves and their loved ones.

“We are honoured for this recognition of our collective efforts, particularly during a year that brought about unprecedented challenges for all of us. We are proud to see the team evolve in its approach to storytelling, having to adapt and innovate with the acceleration of the digital era that the pandemic brought about. We look forward to winning more hearts and minds for our clients in the coming years,” said Andy See, Principal Partner and Managing Director of Perspective Strategies.

One of the Silver Awards was given to Perspective Strategies for “Best ADAPT Agency” highlighting the firm’s ability to overcome the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic brought about for many businesses throughout the world. The firm adapted an aggressive growth strategy when many chose to play it safe, and reinvested in growing the consulting business and Training and Development areas.

The three other Silver Awards were for the firm’s work with key clients in the Corporate Branding Category (Nestle Products), Public Sector Category (ECERDC) and Crisis or Issues Management Category (Tenaga National Berhad).

Last but no least, Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO)’s Redefining Gender Equality at the Workplace campaign bagged the Bronze Award for Public Affairs Category. With Malaysia being ranked 112th among 153 nations in the 2021 Global Gender Gap Index, WAO wanted to address the issues of workplace discrimination and the absence of paternity leave in the private sector. Lobbying the government through grassroot engagements successfully led to raising effectual conversations leading to the proposed amendments in the Employment Act to be tabled in the upcoming Parliamentary sitting.
